In today's engineering design and development environment it is common to use a Logic Analyzer to acquire data from a microprocessor such as the Intel SA110 or Motorola 56309 and view this data in timing fashion or state/disassembly display. However, many designs tightly integrate a bus like PCI with the microprocessor such that the bus is actually an extension of the microprocessor. You therefore need to monitor the micro and the bus simultaneously to get a complete picture of the system under test.
New Wave bus support provides:
- A quick and easy connection to the bus;
- Timing display including labels for timing signals;
- State and disassembly display utilize custom clocking that acquires address, data, etc. at appropriate times, logical channel grouping, and disassembly translation of acquired bus cycles; and
- Symbolic triggering: For example, trigger on "Config Read" at a specific address.
New Wave products are designed to support the Tektronix TLA700, DAS9200, and TLA500 Logic Analyzers.
