Tektronix Embedded Systems Tools Partners Expand TLA Logic Analyzer Solutions
-Two New Companies Join Partners Program, Existing Tools Partners Add Support-
Embedded systems are key to each new product designed and developed in the global communications and information industries. Tektronix is devoted to enabling its customers - including its embedded systems design partners - to design and build next-evolution products and infrastructures by providing best-in-class test and measurement products and technologies. Specifically, the company is focusing on such strategic applications as next-generation processor and peripheral interfaces, embedded DSP, and multimedia processing and transport.
By establishing relationships with industry and third-party technology leaders in these application areas, the company is able to better understand customer needs and emerging technologies, and to provide the best possible range of solutions.

Embedded Systems Tools Partners Speed Designs
The Embedded Systems Tools Partners Program continues to increase the number of development and debug solutions for the TLA logic analyzer family, including additional support for new microprocessors and buses. Partner solutions enable system designers to accomplish more in less time with the best tools. Solutions range from providing software and analysis tools, to physical connections to a processor, to disassembly software that runs on TLA logic analyzers.
New and existing partner announcements include:
- New tools partner Dragonfly Software announces ARM9 and ARM9E Embedded Trace Macrocell support for Tektronix TLA logic analyzers.
- New partner SynaptiCAD Inc. announces WaveFormer Pro support for the TLA7PG2 pattern generation modules that are part of the TLA700 series. WaveFormer creates pattern stimulus and converts VHDL and Verilog test benches into pattern generator stimulus files. It can also translate logic analyzer waveforms into stimulus vectors for VHDL, Verilog, SPICE and ABEL.
- Hitex Development Tools announces a new probe for Tektronix TLA logic analyzers. The new PressOn probe supports both Intel and AMD 486 microprocessors using the SQFP-208 package. PressOn adapters require minimum space on the target PCB and provide very reliable and robust pin contact.
- Ingenieurbüro Strunck announces several new TLA family microprocessor supports for Temic Semiconductor processors. These include support for the following:
- TSC695E, a single chip RAD-Hard RISC processor based on the SPARC V7 specifications. Temic developed an evaluation board designed with high-density Mictor connectors, allowing easy connection to the logic analyzer.
- TSC21020F, a RAD-Hard DSP that is 100 percent compatible with the Analog Device's ADSP-21020
- TS8051Rx2 8-bit microcontroller family
- TS80C251 8/16 bit MCU core family
- New Wave PDG announces new TLA family microprocessor support for the Intel IXP1200 network processor, also known as the StrongARM 1200 processor.
- New Wave PDG is also announcing support for the popular PMC64 and PC104 buses
